NAILA in 2024
NAILA is an annual speech competition for young Australians who are learning Indonesian.
The competition is open to students in primary school, secondary school and university and young professionals. To enter the competition, contestants film themselves delivering a speech on a particular theme in Indonesian. These speeches are then evaluated by an independent panel of expert judges. The theme for NAILA 2024 was “Innovation/Inovasi”.
On Saturday 7 December 2024, the winners of the National Australia Indonesia Language Awards (NAILA) 2024 were recognised at the NAILA Awards Ceremony in Hedley Bull Atrium, Australia National University, Canberra.
