NAILA in 2022

NAILA is an annual speech competition for young Australians who are learning Indonesian.

The competition is open to students in primary school, secondary school and university and young professionals. To enter the competition, contestants film themselves delivering a speech on a particular theme in Indonesian. These speeches are then evaluated by an independent panel of expert judges. The theme for NAILA 2022 was “Relationship/Hubungan”.

In 2022, NAILA received 153 entries across 7 Award Categories. Congratulations to all participants, as well as to their teachers and families for supporting them in their studies. We are thankful for the 2022 Judges who have donated their time to champion the study of Indonesian. We are also grateful to our partners.
